Edain Duguay is a double university graduate with an Degree in Local History and Advanced Certification in Integrated Business Technologies, Computer Literacy and Information Technology. She went on to spend twenty-three years in a local government setting.
Edain has been Pagan for almost thirty years and is still learning. In 2006, Edain decided to move into publishing, becoming the owner/editor of an online newspaper; The Pagan Activist, for four years. The Pagan Activist was read in 62 countries, until it's closure in 2009.
Today, she is also the owner of a small eco-friendly publishing house; Wyrdwood Publications, where she is a full-time writer and publisher. Wyrdwood Publications specialises in Pagan / Heathen eBooks and a tree is planted, in a deforested area, for every 'Green Leaves' eBook sold.
Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Edain is an author who brings an unusual English lilt and humour to her writings, no matter the genre. Edain now resides in Ontario, Canada with her Canadian husband.
Writing
Edain began writing at a very early age. By nine years old she had written her first Sci-fi book and published it. Admittedly, it was her class project but she is still very proud of her first successful exploration into fiction. Since that time she has written several short stories, articles and poems in her spare hours, until 2005 when she began writing full time.
Edain writes both fiction and non-fiction, she is the author of three published eBooks and is working on a series of pBooks. The eBooks are available exclusively from Wyrdwood Publications. Naturally, due to her personal interests, Edain's writing gravitates towards the historical and Pagan genres.
In 2006, Edain started extensive research on her non-fiction eBook: The English Monarchy and Witchcraft, which will be released in 2010/11.
In 2008, Pagan Poetry for the Seasons and Festivals was published, quickly becoming a Best Seller at Wyrdwood Publications.
2009 saw the release of Pagans on the Wildside: Campfire Cooking which, almost overnight, became Wyrdwood Publications #1 Best Seller!
The Witchlets of Witches Brew: Holly the Hasty Witch was published in October 2009. The other seven eBooks in this series will be published in 2010/11.
Edain's first pBook; Chameleon (book one of The Chameleon Sagas) is completed and with her editor. Castrum Lucis, book two of The Chameleon Sagas, is being written presently.
